Do you know someone who is curious about becoming a Roman Catholic? The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is designed to meet the needs of adults and older children wanting to become Roman Catholic or who need to make their First Communion or Confirmation in the Roman Catholic Church. If interested, please contact the Pastor at the Parish Office 583-1369.  RCIA meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 pm to 8:00 pm in St. Joseph School.

RCIA is the Church's official sacramental process for initiating adults and older children. Rather than just learning about the Church and then being baptized in a private ceremony, adults and older children participate in a catechetical process known as the "catechumenate." During this process, the candidates will study the Church, and most importantly, penetrate more deeply the "mystery of Christ" as our mystery of salvation. RCIA will culminate in the reception of the three sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. The candidates are supported by church members who act as their sponsors throughout their journey. The whole parish is involved in support through prayers, participation in the liturgical rites, and by the example of their lives. The three sacraments of initiation are administered at the Easter Vigil Mass where the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus is a fitting place to celebrate the new spiritual life of our newly initiated members.
